The Future of TV Advertising UK goes live on April 30th and the organisers have announced that TV presenter Ortis Deley completes the speaker line-up as part of the Creative Lunch Hour in partnership with Glug.
The Gadget Show host joins a stellar line-up of speakers including Jonathan Lewis (Head of Digital Innovation and Partnerships at Channel 4), Jens Richter (CEO, International at Fremantle), Claire Heys (Director, Brand and Partnerships at ITV), Sarah Jones (Director of Planning at Sky Media), Andy Jones (Head of Agency Development at Samsung Ads Europe), Christian Kurz (SVP Global Consumer Insights, ViacomCBS), Sam Taylor (Head of Commercial and Performance Marketing at Direct Line Group), Daniel Bischoff (CMOO at RTL AdConnect) and many more speakers.
Ortis has been one the hosts of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show since 2009 and his energetic and likeable way of communicating which has kept him working for 25 years. But the current situation has meant that Ortis – like a lot of TV talent – has been forced into the unfamiliar territory of lockdown in a role that ordinarily requires him working all over the country, if not the world. In this exclusive interview in partnership with Glug events, Ortis will give his view on how television can come through this current crisis, what it will mean to TV programming and new shows being created, his thoughts on the production values of presenters “working from home” and what broadcasters can learn from this crisis.
Ortis might also disclose his favourite comic book from his collection of 8,000 plus some insight into why he might be the best-placed personality on TV to talk about whisky…
